Welcome to RUSH

Our Story

How do you start an athletic facility like RUSH? It all began with a captivating opportunity.

I’m Zach O'Connor, owner of RUSH Athletics LLC. I grew up surrounded by athletes; my family has successfully operated Arcadia and Tumbleweeds Gymnastics academies for decades! While gymnastics was my foundation, I found my true passion in soccer. My gymnastics background provided me with essential coordination and strength, which I built upon through sport-specific training.

After countless hours of self-practice and club training, I developed my skills and enjoyed a successful collegiate soccer career at Geneva College. There, I not only honed my athletic abilities but also earned a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

After several years of working in sales, offering private soccer lessons, progressing accreditation and licensure from the U.S. Soccer Federation, and starting a family, we are now fully committed to developing RUSH Athletics!

Mission

To create a community-driven sports-plex where athletes of all ages can safely compete, connect, and grow.

By integrating innovative technology, faith-based values, and a passion for fitness, RUSH provides a space that inspires health, friendship, and the pursuit of excellence.

Values

RUSH not only invokes a feeling of fast-paced excitement- to us,  it is a reminder to

Rise

Up,

Serve

Humbly

We firmly believe that genuine fulfillment and success stem from embracing a mindset of servanthood. By fostering confidence in ourselves and empowering our athletes, we can unite as a community to confront any challenge with a selfless mindset. This approach not only strengthens our bonds but also promises to positively transform our community.
